Glenn Angelo Aveni has been involved with the entertainment business for over 28 years. A Milwaukee native Glenn relocated to Los Angeles California in 1986 to seek opportunities in Hollywood. Upon arrival, Glenn landed a position at Paragon Arts International as a key sales executive, thereby starting a long career in Hollywood whereby Glenn is still producing high quality award winning media content. Paragon produced the highly acclaimed cult classic “Witchboard” with over $20,000,000 in worldwide grosses on a budget of $1,500,000.
Subsequent to Paragon, Glenn moved into worldwide distribution as a means of creating direct revenue streams on produced product. Box Office Partners co-financed and distributed eight small budget feature films (1 mil – 2mil) that generated over $25,000,000 worldwide.
In 1992, Glenn co-founded Ulysses Entertainment as a production and foreign sales company that produced and distributed independent feature films with major partners such as Miramax and Samuel Goldwyn Company. Ulysses financed and produced eight pictures totaling approximately $55,000,000 in worldwide revenues. The films were purchased outright by Orion Pictures in 1995 and now reside in the prestigious MGM/SONY film library.
In 1995 Glenn moved into television production and distribution while managing the worldwide distribution division of Associated Television International. Glenn developed and executive produced over 150 hours of primetime television including “Ponderosa” (NBC/Pax), “Lords of the Mafia” (PBS), “The Secret KGB Files” (TNT), “World Magic Awards” (ABC Family), “Heroes Of WWII” (PBS), and “The Spirit Of Diana” (ABC) to name a few.
In 2003 Glenn founded Icon Television Music, Inc. as a music and documentary production, marketing, and distribution company that has secured worldwide distribution rights to major music projects including “Beyonce’ Knowles Live”, “Gloria Estefan Unwrapped”, “John Entwistle; An Ox’s Tale”, “Les Paul: Chasing Sound”, “Musica Cubana”, “Us Festival 1983”, “Everyone Stares: The Police Inside Out”, “Rock Relief”, “The Rise & Fall Of The Clash”, “US Festival 1982: The US Generation ” and “The Arif Mardin Story” (Grammy Award nominee). Icon has produced major multi-award wining doc films such as “Les Paul Chasing Sound”(Ascap Deems Taylor Award), and “the recent global theatrically released “Bhutto” (Peabody Award) a official selection in the doc completion at 2010 Sundance Film Festival. Icon has also entered the television series production and distribution arena with reality auction series “Bid America”, children’s wildlife series “Uncaged” and reality auction series “Million Dollar Auctions”. These productions fall in line with Icon’s business plan to produce and distribute A-list high quality programming for a diversified worldwide marketplace across all platforms.
